CHOIR

We would like to expand our choir to include men and women of various ages (Youth and Young Adults too!) who would like to participate in song as a choir member.  You do not need to know how to read music in order to sing in the Choir.

We meet on Wednesdays each week at 7:30pm in Msgr. Purick Hall.  The choir sings at the 9:30am Liturgy on Sunday in the Church.

CANTORS

Cantors are experienced singers who have a knowledge of music.  Our cantors receive special “training” to lead the congregation in song.  Cantors are men (one at the moment), women and youth who are willing to make a commitment to a regular schedule of assignments for our weekend Liturgies.

A Cantor leads the congregation in song throughout the Liturgy.  Our Cantors are very dedicated to commitment to their ministry and to sharing their “gift of song” for the good of the parish!

Presently there are ten cantors.  We’d like to encourage others to consider being a part of this important ministry.  An audition would be required.

MUSICIANS

If you are an “experienced” musician who can play the flute, please call today!  We are in need of one of two flutists who would offer their time and talent to play with the Choir at the 9:30am Mass on Sundays.  This would require rehearsal on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm

We are also interested in instrumentalists who play the violin, cello, guitar, trumpet, clarinet, oboe, etc. If you play anything other than a “C” instrument, you would need to know how to “sight” transpose music.

All instrumentalists are invited to participate in accompanying the organ/piano at other Masses…in particular the 9:30am Sunday Mass (MPH & Church) and 5:30pm Sunday Mass.

HANDBELL CHOIR

	We are in need of people who would like to learn how to play a handbell to enhance some of our seasonal liturgies as well as special feasts and celebrations.
	Handbell Choir meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm
